Boxers With the Most Online Fake Followers

  • Tommy Fury has the most fake social media followers with over 50% of fake profiles following him on Instagram.
  • Jake Paul wins the fake following ‘fight’ over Tommy Fury having almost 10% fewer fake followers on his profile compared to his rival.

Social media gives boxers the opportunity to connect with their fans, spread the word on upcoming fights, and share the goings-on in their lives. They can also earn money through social media via product promotion and sponsored posts. But have you ever wondered which famous boxers have the fakest following online?

Betway has analyzed the Instagram profiles of the most famous boxers using Hype Auditor, which runs socials audits using AI, and revealed the top 15 accounts with the highest percentage of fake followers.

Tommy ‘TNT’ Fury takes the lead with over 50% of his 4,300,000 followers being fake, followed by Floyd Mayweather JR (44.90%) and Deontay Wilder (43%).

The full list ranked based on the highest percentage of fake followers is as follows:

Rank Name % suspicious accounts Total following % fake followers
1 Tommy Fury 12.20% 4,300,000 50.80%
2 Floyd Mayweather JR 20.90% 28,500,000 44.90%
3 Deontay Wilder 20.90% 2,700,000 43.00%
4 Jake Paul 24.40% 21,300,000 41.50%
5 Andy Ruiz JR 17.30% 1,900,000 35.90%
6 Ryan Garcia 20.60% 9,000,000 34.80%
7 Amir Khan 16.50% 1,400,000 28.80%
8 Tyson Fury 12.20% 5,700,000 28.70%
9 Anthony Joshua 22.70% 14,500,000 26.90%
10 Logan Paul 20.80% 24,400,000 25.50%
11 Canelo Alvarez 19.90% 14,100,000 25.20%
12 Manny Pacquiao 12.80% 7,100,000 24.50%
13 Gervonta Davis 31.00% 3,800,000 24.20%
14 Mike Tyson 2.80% 19,600,000 24.20%
15 Gennady Golovkin 15.00% 4,700,000 23.50%

Tommy Fury’s recent rival, Jake Paul ranks 4th on the list with more than a quarter of his following being fake. Of the whopping 21 million people who follow the boxer, 8,839,500 are fake followers! Following closely behind in 10th place is Jake Paul’s brother, Logan Paul with less than 30% of his online following being fake.

It’s worth noting that having fake or ‘bot’ followers, doesn’t necessarily mean that that celebrity paid for the follower boost. It just goes to show that you can’t believe any numbers that you see online. Fake followers are not equal to the fame of celebrities, but a lot of people may connect the number of their online following to their worth or popularity.

Deen The Great Vs. Walid Shark Turns Nasty As Siblings And Shaved Heads Are On The Line In A Heated Face-off!

Bets were made between two fighters full of hatred for each other as the MF & DAZN: X SERIES 003 face-offs turned sour. Deen the Great vs. Walid Sharks promises to become a legendary bout in crossover boxing on 19 November at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas; and both competitors have laid down the challenge to each other to steal the show, live on DAZN.

The 18-year-old former Golden Gloves champion, Walid Sharks, wasted no time in trying to silence the confident 22-year-old Deen the Great. Two young, very hungry, lions who have already gained exposure in the boxing world, with Deen the Great stopping Evil Hero at a sold out O2 Arena at the inaugural 001 event.

Sharks was unimpressed by Deen’s performance, and was quite happy to express his opinions during the virtual verbal exchanges. With a hugely impressive amateur career, Sharks shut down any possibility of Deen the Great becoming greater and leaving with a win in Texas.

“I respect Deen for taking the fight, other than that I have no respect. I have noticed he’s only fighting street fighters and he’s built up his name off it,” said Sharks.

“I’m ending your hype train brother. After my fight you are not going to be making money after November 19. He’s going to realise he made the biggest mistake of his life. I will make you hang up the gloves brother… let’s make a bet.”

“I would say he needs to shave his whole head you know; you seem like you’re so proud of them braids,” continued Sharks. “If you’re so confident that you win, you should take the bet. If I lose, I’ll do whatever you want.”

Both fighters consistently looked to press the buttons of their opponent. With Deen the Great slightly caught off guard by the bet presented to him by his opponent, he was happy to send a personal counter-offer back in the direction of Sharks.

“What do you want to bet? You got no money,” said Deen the Great. “When I whoop your ass I get your sister too on top of that, how about that?

“I’m confident I whip your ass. The only reason I will be losing is if the planet turned upside down and I fall out the ring. That’s the only way I’m losing, but if for any reason that happens, I’ll get my eyebrows done like you?”

Sharks had taken some time out of his boxing career and to continue his successes as a social media star. His TikTok account boasts over half a million followers on the platform, but he sees now as the time to make his second appearance back fighting after a majority draw decision against Adam Saleh on his crossover boxing debut fight in July 2021.

Off the back of his unbeaten start in his fighting renaissance, Sharks was clearly in confident mood during the face-offs and remained happy to remind Deen the Great of his self-belief. With Deen asked about what his opponent is good at, the former Golden Glove winner stepped in to answer for him.

“I’m good at everything, whatever it is, I’m better than him at every step,” interrupted Sharks.

“You narcissistic ****, stop talking about your damn self,” responded Deen. “What is he good at? Talking about himself for sure, I don’t know.”

“I mean Walid doesn’t know what he’s better at. I’m better than him, Walid doesn’t really throw any punches, so I mean it’s hard to say. Especially somebody that punches with a lot of anger. He punches with a lot of aggression and emotion. I’m really calm, I got all the composure in the world when it comes to sports.”

As the conversation came towards its fiery conclusion both fighters continued fixed on each other, with the lack of understanding in the other man’s ability to be declared the winner in this one. The closing statements from each man validated the reasons behind this fight threatening to steal the headlines on an unbelievable night of action in Austin, TX.

Yeah, our fight is going to be the most entertaining fight in influencer fighting history, especially after I knockout this guy,” declared Deen. “I’m going to make a statement. He accepted a fight obviously because he needs me, he got nothing else to do.”

“November 19, that’s it guys,” responded Sharks. “The only thing you will be doing is digging your grave.”

Playtime’s Over As 6ar6ie6 And Fangs Show Their Teeth!

Playtime's Over As 6ar6ie6 And Fangs Show Their Teeth!

‘Grandmother’ of gaming Fangs takes on gothic TikTok personality 6ar6ie6 (Barbie) in the third edition of the Misfits series taking place on Saturday 19 November at the Moody Center in AustinTexas.

Live on DAZN, these two internet stars battle it out in the ring in only the second female matchup on a Misfits event, following Astrid Wett v Keeley from X SERIES 002. It is destined to be a battle of experience versus youth, as a 35-year-old Fangs takes on the new kid on the block in 20-year-old 6ar6ie6. It will make for an enticing match up, with both fighters making their professional debut.

Fangs, also known as  Jessica Campana Duban, is best known as the ‘Queen of FIFA’ and has built her name on YouTube since starting way back in 2012. She has now built-up a following of 1.36 million followers on the platform, as well as now shining as she streams on Twitch. Fangs gained a strong UK following when she started regularly collaborating with big names such as Nepenthez, Miniminter and AA9skillz too, which assisted in gaining over 347k Twitch followers where she is best known for streaming FIFA.

It’ll be a homecoming for Fangs, who grew up in Texas, and she’ll be calling upon her own to support her in her inaugural fight. The biggest fight for the Texan has come outside of the gym, having delayed her ring debut due to the passing of her father, who she sadly lost last year.

“It made me numb, I felt the worse pain you can feel. I’m numb to everything, if you want to come at me, you will be throwing it at a brick wall,” said Fangs. She continued to discuss her tough year in 2021 where she not only lost her father, but cousin and grandmother too.

She returned to fighting preparations as of May 2022 as she’s ‘looking to find herself’, and pointed out that she has been doing some serious sparring. As she prepares to kick off her crossover boxing career with a bang, Fangs forewarned her opponent about what is to be expected by outlining what has been going on in her camp to show what a serious threat she is.

“I don’t spar women, I spar men,” she said: “I know nothing about her, I had zero idea about her background. I’ve got heavy hands, and the moment she gets tired and lets her guard down, she is going to be down.”

“You maybe want to try and get in my head, and if you don’t want to do that, that is your bad. I’ve been training with pro boxers,” continued Fangs. “She’s just another face thrown at me, and I’m ready. I’ve been doing all this training to get rid of all this anger and hate I have, she just happens to be the face I release it on.”

A confident approach leading up to the fight will set high expectations for her fans and viewers to deliver on the night, and the Queen of FIFA will believe she has what it takes. 6ar6ie6 is far from somehow who showing up to fill a space, and the Australian will be looking to get an early win as she looks to lay down the foundations for crossover boxing success in the future.

Making made her name lip-syncing on TikTok, where she has now accumulated over 1.5 million followers, 6ar6ie6 started her content in 2020 and, over the course of lockdown to now, has blown up on the platform. 6ar6ie6 is admired for her posts featuring gothic content, her love of anime, and her gaming content on her social pages.

During the digital face off, 6ar6ie6 said: “The fight kind of came to me or I came to it eight weeks ago, so I’ve been training really, really hard” as she explained the struggles of reintegrating solid food back into her diet in preparation for her fight with Fangs. Despite this, 6ar6ie6 believes her youth and height advantage over her opponent will give her the edge, as well as her lack of worry in her opponent possessing any real threat.

“You’re not very fast, you’re actually very slow, and you’re banking on reach even though you’re going to be the shorter opponent in this fight,” said 6ar6ie6. “I have zero expectations of her, my coach trains current world champions.”

“I think I will enjoy it. As for Fangs, I think she will revel in it, this is really her big moment to revive her dead career”

It is clear to see the two female pioneers of this event are willing to put it all on the line. Such an approach on their debut’s is to be respected, but it is also clear there is no respect between these two as they both come to steal the limelight at the Moody Center. With 6ar6ie6 being six feet tall and 15 years younger than her opponent Fangs, it will mean the American will have to be in top form to come out on top in her home state.

“I don’t run my mouth all over the internet, I have respect for my elders but she sits on her ass all day,” said 6ar6ie6. “Anger is a draining, time-consuming emotion and I’m not worried at all. She doesn’t threaten me, I’m not impressed.”

A battle of old school social media vs. the new kid on the block will make for a thrilling encounter that cannot be missed, live on DAZN.
