KSI’s hugely anticipated return to the ring headlines MF & DAZN: X Series 007, the latest instalment of the wildly popular crossover boxing series that is taking the world by storm. This night is set to be the biggest and boldest crossover showdown of the year as the Misfits mayhem descends on London, for a night of off the wall entertainment you do not want to miss.

KSI enters the ring in blistering form, having spectacularly KO’d Faze Temper in one round to claim the Misfits Cruiserweight title earlier this year, however, the ‘billionaire’ businessman Joe Fournier will provide the mega star with his toughest test yet.

Fournier is 9-0 as a pro fighter, knocking all nine opponents out. He once went the distance with former heavyweight world champion David ‘Hayemaker’ Haye in an exhibition contest.

The famous OVO Arena Wembley will play host to this colossal contest as the Misfits Boxing World Tour lands in London – and both men are promising capital pains on the night.

KSI said: “I can’t wait to show the world what Jake Paul couldn’t, knock out a pro boxer. Each fight, people are seeing a better KSI and I’m honestly scared for Fournier because once I land my right or left hand on his chin, it’s night night. As soon as people enter the ring with me, they realise they are in hell. And they either leave the ring bruised, battered or sleeping. In the ring, I am an evil man.”

Joe Fournier said: “This is huge, it’s as big as it gets, it’s on DAZN pay-per-view at Wembley, against one of the biggest global superstars, not just in boxing.

“But I am going to break a lot of little hearts when they see KSI unconscious on the canvas. This is way too soon to fight me, but the deal is done, and just like Jake Paul, he will find out that when he gets into the ring with a real boxer, it’s a whole different ball game. He is in for a rude awakening.”

Mams Taylor, Co-President of Misfits Boxing said: “Here we go! What a fight and what a night of crossover boxing this will be. KSI against Joe Fournier is huge, it’s mammoth and it’s guaranteed to deliver a night that London will never forget.”

Kalle Sauerland, Co-President of Misfits Boxing said: “Both KSI and Joe Fournier are coming for one thing, and one thing only – the knockout! London, get ready for a massive night of Misfits action and make sure you buy a ticket or tune-in because, make no mistake, this is the hardest test of KSI’s career to date.”

Joseph Markowski, CEO DAZN North America said: ‘KSI vs. Fournier is a fight you will not want to miss. Our third PPV of the X Series is guaranteed to bring all the action and even more unforgettable moments live on DAZN PPV May 13’.

KSI vs Fournier will be shown live and on demand to all subscribers around the world on DAZN and DAZN PPV. But if you want to experience the wild and wonderful world of Misfits Boxing in person, then sign up for pre-sale tickets via www.MisfitsBoxing.com

Roy Jones Jr. Takes On MMA Legend Anthony Pettis On April 1

Roy Jones Jr. Takes On MMA Legend Anthony Pettis On April 1

Combat sport legends Roy Jones Jr. and Anthony Pettis previewed their upcoming pro boxing clash during a virtual press conference Wednesday before they go toe-to-toe on Saturday, April 1 headlining the “Gamebred Boxing 4” pay-per-view event from Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee in an event presented by Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred Boxing.

The pay-per-view can be purchased through InDEMAND, PPV.com and UFC Fight Pass PPV, with tickets to the live event available through FiservForum.com. Additional event details will be announced shortly.

In the main event, the Boxing Hall of Famer Jones and the former UFC and WEC World Champion Pettis will go toe-to-toe in an intriguing clash of two of combat sports’ most skilled, accomplished and popular champions, as Milwaukee’s Pettis looks to put on a memorable performance for his hometown fans.

Here is what the virtual press conference participants had to say Wednesday:

ROY JONES JR.

“I wanted to fight Anderson Silva back in the day, but it kept getting pushed to the side. When they told me about the Pettis fight, it was intriguing. He’s done things in MMA that no one has ever done. To face someone else with the same kind of creative mind, I couldn’t say no to it.

“He’s different and he’s very creative with his style. He knows what he’s doing. He’s sparring with guys like former world champion Caleb Plant. That’s the right kind of sparring. He’s not playing boxing, he’s serious about it.

“I feel like I was the first person to come up with the crossover boxing vs. MMA fight idea, but I never got to do it. This was the perfect opportunity. I know that he’s gonna go hard with his boxing, because he’s facing one of the greats. If I were playing Michael Jordan one-on-one, I’d put everything into it.

“My game is to help put on an awesome card for the people. My goal in boxing has always been to give the people what they want to see.

“I love the fact that I get to fight in a place I’ve never been. They have the Greek Freak [Giannis Antetokounmpo] there, and we’re both freaks in the ring, so why not make it happen? When you get the opportunity, you gotta shoot, and that’s what we do.

“I’m older, but I’m still wise. What better way for him to learn boxing than against someone who knows basically everything about the sport?”

ANTHONY PETTIS

“It’s crazy to be in this position and be fighting Roy Jones Jr. in my first boxing fight. This is a challenge I’ve been waiting for. You can’t say no to an opportunity like this. This is the kind of challenge that wakes me up every morning and makes me want to bring it.

“I’m just straight boxing now. I’m finding the best boxers I can spar with here in Las Vegas. I’m living the lifestyle. How could you not be motivated when facing a guy like Roy? I come to win fights and that’s the goal April 1.

“I’ve done so much in MMA, but I grew up watching fights like Oscar De La Hoya vs. Felix Trinidad. Watching that is why I got into combat sports. Now that I have this opportunity, I’m hiring the right guys and doing everything I need to do to take this 100% seriously.

“I’ve been working a lot to adjust to fighting at a bigger weight. I was already in fight shape coming into camp, because this is just such a great opportunity. I feel like I’m getting used to the pressure that he’s gonna bring. I’m gonna use the smarts and skills I’ve accumulated over the years and try to put it on him.

“If you look at my UFC career, I fought the best of the best. That’s exactly what I’m bringing to my boxing career. These are the kind of challenges I want.

“I’m testing myself against one of the greats. So this would be huge for MMA as a sport. I’m not going to let this slip through my fingers. I think you’re going to be surprised by my skillset.”

JORGE MASVIDAL, CEO of Gamebred Boxing

“I’m so pumped. I can’t believe I’m looking at Roy and Pettis and it’s all coming to life. I remember Dean and I were having a conversation about this happening months ago, and now it’s happening.

“I’ve been watching Roy since I was a kid, and being a Florida guy, we really go hard for him. We’re so happy to be able to put this together. Pettis is one of the greatest 155 pounders I’ve ever seen. These styles are a great mesh, because they both know how to be flashy.

“I can’t believe this flight is about to take place. Props to everyone for stepping up, especially the fighters, because if it weren’t for them it wouldn’t be happening.

“I know Pettis has been focusing on striking for a while now, and I can’t wait to see how one of my MMA brothers does against one of the greatest boxers to ever live.

“We just want to put on the best cards possible and that’s what this feels like. After a long week’s work, am I gonna shell out the money for this card? When I look at this card, I’d definitely pay for this. This is history for any combat sports enthusiast.”

DEAN TOOLE, President of Gamebred Boxing

“This is only the second event ever that UFC Fight Pass has promoted through a digital pay-per-view, with the other being Mayweather vs. McGregor. That says a lot about how big this event is.

“This fight card is absolutely stacked. We have UFC and Strikeforce world champions, UFC veterans and one of the greatest boxers to ever do it, just to name a few. We have an incredible lineup and I can’t wait to hear from these amazing fighters today.

“We’re also going to have real boxing prospects and up-and-comers on this card. These types of fights will put eyeballs on upcoming boxers who will eventually be headlining these cards.”

Topping a monster bill in ‘The Big Easy’, FIFA legend JMX will take on former NFL star Le’Veon Bell in a crossover scrap for the ages.

JMX, who is most well-known for his success on YouTube playing video games, doing prank videos and challenges, will jump back in the boxing ring for the first time since his dominating performance over Ginty at MF & DAZN: X Series 002. His 3-0 record is set to face its toughest test away from home this April.

His opponent, Le’Veon Bell is an American football player who played at Michigan State and then was drafted to the NFL in 2021, most recently playing running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bell made his boxing debut in 2022 when he fought Uriah Hall, former UFC fighter, on the Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva undercard.

Irish YouTuber and Twitch streamer JustaMinx will battle it out with Texan gaming sensation Fangs, as the ladies look to steal the show in Louisiana.

JustaMinx has over 2 million followers on Twitch and a further 6 million across her other social channels. She will be returning to the ring having previously defeated American YouTuber Yodelling Haley via TKO in May 2022.

Fangs, who rose to fame playing games such as Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, Minecraft and most notably FIFA on Twitch, was set to feature on MF & DAZN: X Series 002, but can look forward to making her Misfits debut on April 21.

MMA fighter and professional boxer Chris Avila faces fellow pro Paul Bamba in what promises to be an explosive encounter packed with Cajun spice.

Chris Avila, from Stockton, California, is a former UFC and Bellator fighter. As a boxer, he currently holds a pro record of 2-1, which includes a majority decision win over Misfits favourite Anthony Taylor on undercard of the Jake Paul vs Tyrone Woodley rematch in Tampa.

Paul Bamba is a celebrity trainer and former marine from Puerto Rico, who holds a professional record of 5-2, including 4 big KO wins. Bamba was scheduled to fight Tommy Fury on the Mayweather-Deji card, but the fight was cancelled the day before due to issues with Fury’s weight.

Minikon returns to Misfits Boxing following his victory at MF & DAZN: X Series 002. The TikTok star will meet YouTuber Jake The Viking in a hotly anticipated heavyweight showdown between the two popular content creators.

Minikon has over 1.3 Million followers on Tik Tok. Having previously fought to a controversial no contest decision against former LA Lakers guard Nick “Swaggy P” Young, and suffered a loss to Armz Korleon, the New Yorker claimed his first victory in the crossover scene against NickNack PattiWhack at last year’s Misfits Boxing event in Austin, Texas.

YouTube star Jake The Viking, who will be making his crossover boxing debut, boasts over 5 million followers across his social media accounts. Formerly a regular collaborator on MrBeast’s YouTube channel, his own channel now has 1.59 million subscribers, and is where he can be seen posting ‘the realest overnight paranormal investigations’ and ‘epic vlogs’.

TikTok star and former amateur boxer Walid Sharks will face actor and comedian Ayye Pap in a mouth-watering crossover clash.

Walid Sharks was set to meet Ace Musa at MF & DAZN: X Series 005 in Telford, England. The bout was cancelled after Musa failed a pre-fight medical, but not before Sharks was reunited with rival Deen The Great, sparking a press conference melee, which saw the former Golden Gloves winner jump over a table in an attempt to settle the score with his former foe.

Stamaur ‘Ayye Pap’ Mitchell made his name as a content creator on Vine posting funny videos and can now be seen performing at top comedy clubs around the US, and on film and television. He has featured in movies including Aniyah for Amazon Prime and played a young Errol Spence Jr on Fox Sports.

Reality TV star Chase DeMoor is another familiar face returning Misfits Boxing on April 21, taking on YouTuber Stevie Knight in a heavyweight contest.

Chase DeMoor, star of season 2 of Netflix’s ‘Too Hot To Handle’ and a former Houston Linemen and the Montreal Alouettes Footballer, is back following his loss to Josh Brueckner at MF & DAZN: X Series 002. DeMoor, who has over 2 million followers on his TikTok account, will be looking for redemption when he returns to action in New Orleans.

Stevie Knight is an American YouTuber and social media personality, known for posting reaction videos and commenting on sport, music and culture on his YouTube channel. Knight will be making his crossover boxing debut when the enters the ring at MF & DAZN X Series 006 at the XULA Convocation Center.

Professional MMA fighter and the son of a backyard brawling legend, Kimbo Slice Jr will take on Atlanta-based YouTube personality OJ Rosè.

Swingler Cements Hometown Hero Status – #Misfits005 Results

Swingler Cements Hometown Hero Status - #Misfits005 Results

Jay Swingler secured the victory tonight via a unanimous decision in an entertaining match-up against Nichlmao to continue his winning run in Misfits Boxing at MF & DAZN: X Series 005 in his hometown of Telford. With this win, he certainly asserted his dominance on the Middleweight crossover boxing scene, as he climbs and further makes himself the man to beat at this weight class.

With this second win on Misfits, he now has eyes on tougher competitors like Slim or even a rematch with AnEsonGib from a few years ago. The fight saw a sold-out Telford International centre up on their feet from the opening bell. The entrance from Swingler was incredible on its own merit. The hometown boy had the crowd on his side throughout, as he vowed to dominate Nichlmao inside the squared circle.

YouTube video

The first round was strong by Swingler, as he tried to gain an early advantage with a flurry of left and rights. Nichlmao caught Swingler a few times, but he waited for the perfect moment to strike back.

in the second, Swingler landed heavy shots on Nichlmao as he struggled to keep up with the pace of the match. Each heavy punch landed by Swingler was met with huge cheers from his home support dominating the arena, but credit to Nichlmao who showed some heart as he kept fighting back, using the uppercut to his advantage.

The fight proved a fiery contest coming into round three with both fighters landing effective shots. Swingler became frustrated as every time he had the momentum, Nichlmao answered back with shots of his own, but the final round showed both men wanted to leave everything they had inside the ring.

Connecting with heavy punches, both men bit down hard on their gum shields to reach the depths of their will and throw as heavy as they could. It was a tough fight to call, as the fight went down to who wanted it more and who had more left in the gas tank. However, the hometown boy came out deservedly victorious in the end with the majority victory.

Deen The Great and Pully Arif faced off in a MF Lightweight Championship contest in the co-main event. Deen looked set to continue his unbeaten run after his sensational comeback win against Walid Sharks, but Pully Arif entered the bout with threats of his own as a strong competitor for the title. Throughout fight week we witnessed the back and forth between the two competitors, as this clash was predicted to be a potential fight of the night contender.

YouTube video

The match started tentatively as both men were trying to analyse the other, but as the match went on they both began to go to work and prove why one was a champion and the other a worthy opponent. This was until Deen put his foot firmly on the gas in the third round, and knocked Pully Arif down with a lovely combination married with a powerful right hook. It was no easy night for the champion, but he would keep his belt after a unanimous decision victory to keep him as one of Misfits Boxing’s biggest names.

Ash Rak-Su took on King Kenny in a highly-anticipated fight. Rak-Su was in his greatest condition to date, but Kenny has had the reputation of possibly being one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the crossover boxing scene having proven his knockout power at Misfits 003 in Austin against DK Money. They say a setback is the setup for a comeback, and Ashley Rak-Su aimed to prove himself this time around after an unfortunate defeat against Anthony Taylor in Sheffield, Misfits 002.

Both the technical fighters tried to find the advantage over the other, but after a strong-willed performance from Rak-Su in the first round, an early upset looked possible after Kenny was caught with a few heavy jabs. Kenny’s in-ring experience proved to be regaining control of proceedings, but the technical ability from Rak-Su seemed to be too much for Kenny.

YouTube video

The match ended with Rak-su winning by a split decision, leaving the crowd stunned having fallen victim to believing Kenny would not lost the bout. Kenny by no means producing a poor fighter, but Ashley Rak-Su showed the level of commitment and desire he has to continue improving each time he enters the gym.

The historic WWE-style tag team bout between the team of Luis Pineda & BDave (Los Pineda Coladas) and IcePoseidon & Anthony Vargas (D Generation Ice) delighted the fans in an event never seen before in crossover boxing. The inaugural tag team match on a Misfits event clearly proved to be a success from the off, with both teams fluidly using the rules to produce a special birth of a new concept.

Los Pineda Coladas were clearly the fan favourites coming into this match. The entrance alone was like a WWE matchup as the fans in the Telford International Centre almost blew the roof off. Both the first and second rounds were dominated by BDave and Pineda, especially Pineda who controlled the ring as much as he orchestrated his adoring fans.

YouTube video

BDave had plenty of support of his own as he took to the stage and seized the moment as he eventually got the tag and won the match for his team after throwing heavy shots to leave Ice Poseidon stuck against the ropes with no reply. The first of many tantalising tag team match ups to come.

The thrilling fight between Astrid Wett and AJ Bunker was a massive milestone in the world of female crossover boxing. Both women put everything on the line as both aimed to become the first-ever female Misfits champion. With the much-anticipated Elle Brooke clash for the winner, Brooke watched on to see her next possible opponent at work. With an impressive showing from Brooke against Faith Ordway at Misfits 004, it looked set to be a huge treat for boxing crossover fans.

It was a no-holds barred encounter from start to finish as it was evident both women have been working hard on their technical prowess and speed through their respective fight camps. The first round brought the fans to their feet in Telford, as a huge roar from the crowd closed the opening bell with offense taking presidency over defense as a firefight broke out.

YouTube video

Both ended the third and final round, left exhausted and bloodied for their efforts. The only Fans star Astrid came out victorious as not only the Queen of TikTok but also the Queen of Misfits boxing, after winning via majority decision to become the first ever Female Misfits champion. AJ Bunker showed more than a handful of reasons as to why she is so popular in and out of the ring, and is set to return and shine in crossover boxing.

The second fight of the night saw Ginty take on Halal Ham. Ginty had something to prove after a loss to JMX at Misfits 002 however, he did secure a knockdown during the fight, making it evident he had that knockout power. Ham’s most recent fight was a close win against DTG as he eyed continued success, especially with fan-favourite Salt Papi supporting him in his corner.

Both fighters were technical in the opening round, working their way around the ring looking for the perfect time to strike. Ginty secured the knockdown in the first round after a picture-perfect right-handed jab sent Ham to the canvas. The match ended after all three rounds of action, with Ginty securing a hard-fought unanimous decision win.

YouTube video

Tempo Arts and Godson kicked the night’s action off in a contest guaranteed to bring some heavy shots.. Both competitors wanted to prove themselves and secure a victory in their debut fights and. even though nerves would have played their part in front of a sold-out crowd in Telford, this bout between two strong men certainly did not disappoint.

The fight began fast by both men as they looked for an early knockout. The 18-year-old Tempo impressed early on as he closed the first round strong with heavy left and right blows to Godson. Just before the bell for the second round began, Godson’s corner put a stop to their fighter after a possible shoulder dislocation. Tempo came out good value for his victory after showing he could take some shots but dish plenty out. After calling it a few fighters post-fight, one certainty as the young fighter will be back to entertain once again.

Jay Swingler vs. NichLMAO: Date, Start Time, How To Watch

Quotes and Images from today’s Press Conference ahead of Jay Swingler vs. NichLMAO at MF & DAZN; X Series 005 on Saturday March 4 live on DAZN from Telford International Centre.

Mams: They mystery opponent was one of the highlights of Misfits for me. Pineda came through and delivered, there was so much poetic justice in that event. We went to extreme lengths to keep that a mystery.

YouTube video

Tag team boxing, you’re going to see it Saturday night. At the end of the day, this space is all about trying new things and being innovative. This is real boxing, but, with sports entertainment. These guys mostly come from the entertainment space and we have to remember that, and we’re here to entertain fans. This is the natural step in the evolution of sports entertainment, and people are going to hate it until they love it. If they hate so passionately, then we must be doing something right.

Kalle: We sat the bar high. Nine months ago when we started out we sold out the O2; two fights in one night. We went on to Wembley, and lets not forget that fantastic fight in Austin between Deen the Great and Walid Sharks. We’ve had so many highlights along the way, we’ve had the mystery opponent and now we set the bar higher with tag team boxing. We also have our first female Misfits Championship fight this weekend which I’m incredibly proud of. The card is stacked, look at this press conference. It’s just great to see.

WHAT TIME IS SWINGLER VS. NICHLMAO?

  • Date: Saturday, March 4
  • Time: 7 p.m. GMT / 2 p.m. ET
  • Main event ringwalks (approx): 10 p.m. GMT / 5 p.m. ET
  • The card will stream live on DAZN in over 200 countries across the globe
  • The fight will take place at Telford International Centre in Telford, England.
  • The event is set to get underway at 7 p.m. GMT / 2 p.m. ET with the main event ringwalks scheduled for 10 p.m. GMT

Jay Swingler vs. NichLMAO

Jay Swingler: First of all, welcome to Telford everybody! I’m back at home. I get to load the dishwasher, knock this bum out, go home and play Minecraft, all in one night. I think he looks stiff, he looks like he can’t relax.

NichLMAO: Cherdleys realistically wasn’t trying in that last fight against Jay. People having that expectation of me is kind of laughable, as I’ve put in months and months of training. Everyday, even without a fight, I’ve been training. People who think it’ll be anything like the Cherdleys fight are dreaming. Jay told me three different versions of how long he’s been training, so I don’t even know how prepared he is.

Jay Swingler: I’ve been sparring for eight months, but I’ve been training and conditioning for about two years altogether.

NichLMAO: You waited 14 months to start sparring?

Jay Swingler: Properly, yes. Pad work, technique, footwork drills. That comes first.

NichLMAO: Why so long? I started sparring after two weeks. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been training for as sparring makes a huge difference.

Jay Swingler: 100%. It depends who you’ve been sparring though doesn’t it. If you’ve been sparring youtubers, that will do nothing for you. I doubt you’ve improved much since your sparring footage.

I’ve got a little gift for you, one second. I’ve got two green t-shirts, and when I knock him out people can edit the shot on these tops and make memes of the moment. I’ll knock him out in two. I’d be a bit disappointed if it goes longer than that.

NichLMAO: I think Jay’s starting to get worried. First he told me it would be a knockout in seconds, then one round, then two rounds. I think he’s starting to notice that I can fight.

Jay Swingler: I didn’t want to be too egotistical, but fine, I’m going to knock him out in the first round.

NichLMAO: I think I’ll knock him out in the third. You don’t believe in me, but you’re going to see Saturday. I’ll accept the apology from everyone after the fight.
