Exhibition dispute resurfaces as Paul alleges unpaid share of $10M overseas pre-sale
Logan Paul says Floyd Mayweather Jr. still owes him money from their June 2021 exhibition bout, alleging an unpaid percentage of a $10 million overseas pre-sale agreement.
“He pre-sold the fight using my name and likeness to a company, I think in Dubai or somewhere in the Middle East, for $10,000,000 cash,” Paul said. “We ended up doing the fight in the US with a different company. That’s the company that put on the fight, but he had already sold our fight to someone else for $10M cash.”
Paul claims his contract entitled him to 15 percent of that transaction.
“Our deal was 15%, he smoked me. 15% of $10,000,000 is $1,500,000,” Paul said. “The company that paid him $10M is suing him. I don’t think I’m ever getting the money.”
The dispute traces back to the period before the exhibition was finalized at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. As previously reported by TMZ, Mayweather Promotions filed a $122.6 million lawsuit against PAC Entertainment Worldwide, which had pitched hosting the bout in Dubai. Court filings referenced a $110 million guarantee structure, with a $30 million installment reportedly due in March 2021. The event ultimately moved to Miami under a separate arrangement with Fanmio Boxing and aired on Showtime pay-per-view on June 6, 2021. PAC disputed Mayweather’s account in its own filing.
The specific $10 million figure Paul cited does not directly match the amounts referenced in the publicly reported lawsuit.
Paul has raised payment concerns before. In earlier public comments, he called Mayweather a “weasel” and suggested he would pursue the matter legally. Mayweather previously responded by saying pay-per-view revenue distributions can take time and that he continues to receive checks from past events. He has not publicly addressed Paul’s latest remarks.
Nearly five years after the exhibition, the financial disagreement remains unresolved in public view.
