Most Valuable Promotions evealed that the undefeated lightweight Ashton “H20” Sylve (9-0, 8KOs) is slated to compete against veteran lightweight William “Baby Face” Dos Santos Silva (30-4, 18 KOs). The bout will take place during the Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz pay-per-view event, live from the American Airlines Center on August 5th, in Dallas, TX. Sylve recently triumphed over Adam Kipenga at MVP’s first Most Valuable Prospects event, while Silva celebrated a TKO victory against Diego Gonzalo Luque. The pair will face off in an intense eight-round matchup at 135 lbs. The Paul vs. Diaz pay-per-view will be globally distributed by DAZN PPV, and in the US and Canada, it will also be available on all major cable and satellite pay-per-view providers. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com.
Sylve, MVP’s first signed prospect and ESPN Ringside’s 2022 prospect of the year, has an impressive track record. He has knocked out eight of his nine opponents and consistently stepped up to fight more experienced contenders. Known for his exceptional power and agility, Sylve hails from Long Beach, California. He was a talented amateur who turned pro at 16, boasting over 100 wins and 10 national titles. Sylve initially came to public attention as an eight-year-old when a training video made by his father, Ivan, went viral. This led to an invitation to Floyd Mayweather’s renowned gym in Las Vegas.
“I’ve always dreamed of fighting amongst legends and shining under the brightest lights,” said Ashton Sylve. “MVP has continually provided me with opportunities to do just that. I am extremely excited to return to the ring for what promises to be the event of the year. I’ve been tirelessly preparing for this fight, and I assure you, my technique and skills will be on full display on August 5th. Dallas, get ready – I’m coming for you! See you soon!”
Silva, a native of Sao Paolo, Brazil, currently residing in St. Petersburg, FL, holds the title of former WBO Latino welterweight and WBO Latino lightweight champion. Despite a loss to Felix Verdejo in 2016, he bounced back, winning a regional belt for the IBO. Silva has consistently fought the best in the game, recording only four losses in his 17-year career. He steps into the ring with Ashton Sylve fresh from two consecutive victories, the most recent being a TKO against Diego Gonzalo Luque. Silva trains under Jim McLaughlin, a member of the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame, and is promoted by Reyes Boxing and Fire Fist Promotions.
“Expect fireworks during this fight,” said William Silva. “I’m fighting for my family and country.”
Most Valuable Promotions and Real Fight, founded by Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, and Diaz respectively, are collaborating to bring Paul vs. Diaz to global audiences. The strategic partnership will utilize the star power and international reach of both fighters to promote the year’s biggest fight. The event will be globally distributed by DAZN PPV and available in the US and Canada on all major cable and satellite pay-per-view providers.
“Ashton’s unique combination of knockout power and agility continues to captivate and thrill audiences, even at such a young age. He will bring these traits to the ring on August 5th,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions. “He faces his toughest test yet against the formidable and battle-hardened Silva, who has only ever lost to some of the top fighters in the game.
